Download Boardwalk Avenue Rough Fonts Family From Fenotype
Designed by Emil Bertell, Boardwalk Avenue Rough is a script and serif font family. This typeface has six styles and was published by Fenotype.

Boardwalk Avenue Rough is a textured version of Boardwalk Avenue. It’s a robust type collection of three styles and two weights of each. It’s divided into Boardwalk Pen, Boardwalk Antiqua and Boardwalk Serif. Boardwalk Avenue’s core is a connected mono linear script that works fantastic when paired with either of the impressive serif styles. All the fonts work great on their own but try putting them all together for a complete display font setup for a project.
Here’s a short introduction on what’s included:
Boardwalk Avenue Rough Pen is a connected Script. It’s great for headlines, quotes or in packaging. It has a casual hand drawn vibe to it but it’s clean and legible. It’s equipped with automatic Contextual Alternates that keep the connections smooth and versatile. For instance when you type double letter another of them will automatically change to add variation. Or if you type “i” for example, as a first letter after space or after capital letter the code will add starting point to the letter to keep the letterforms more balanced. If you need more ambitious letterforms you can try Swash or Titling Alternates -there’s alternates for every standard letter and seek for even more alternates from the glyph palette.
Boardwalk Avenue Rough Antiqua is a high contrast serif with strong character. It’s great for glamorous headlines or as a logotype.
Boardwalk Avenue Rough Serif is a low contrast serif with bulky character. It’s great for strong and sturdy headlines or as a logotype.

Designed by Donald Tarallo, Starsigns is a dingbat font published by Tarallo Design.

Starsigns contains twelve astrology symbols; Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. These Zodiac symbols were hand-painted with watercolors to provide a soft and warm impression.

How does Starsigns work? Install it as as a regular font and as you type you will get forms instead of letters. Simply type any lowercase letter on your keyboard between a and l to access the symbols. Most design software, such as, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop provide a glyphs palette where you can choose the precise symbol you want. Alternatively, you can refer to the pdf included in the downloads, which displays the symbols and their equivalents on the keyboard.

This font is a SVG bitmap color font, which is supported by all 2018 or newer versions of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Designed by Jeff Levine, Manufactory JNL is a display serif font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts.

Manufactory JNL and its oblique counterpart were re-drawn from examples of a now-antique typeface used within many advertisements found throughout the pages of The American Stationer magazine, circa 1879.

The term ‘manufactory’ was popular during this era; the word being a more archaic form of ‘factory’.

There is a bit of Western flavor to this type design, as the spurred serifs and the top and bottom strokes are heavier than the vertical and mid-point stroke weights.

The 1927 beginner’s book for Shefte’s Rapid Course in Modern Piano Playing had its title hand lettered in a bold serif typeface that reflected some of the influences of the Art Nouveau era.

This became the model for Music Course JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The hand lettered word ‘puzzles’ from the box cover of a 1940s set of metal “connected” puzzle pieces manufactured by the A.C. Gilbert Company was the initial typographic model, but some additions and changes were made.

Instead of the right side of the ‘P’ being a semi-circle, it was changed to a more conservative ‘’squared’ look.  After drawing out all of the necessary glyphs, the overall height of the characters was extended to make the letters and numbers appear taller and narrower.

The end result is Narrow Deco JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

While watching the 1947 holiday classic “Miracle on 34th Street”, one scene in particular presented a chance to develop a retro type design.

‘Kris Kringle’ suggests to a mother visiting with her child in the Macy’s toy department to try Gimbel’s for a toy she couldn’t find at the store.  The news of this behavior reaches Mr. Macy himself, who embraces the practice as a brilliant marketing strategy.

A number of departments are then presented with reference books containing competitor ads, and the visual of the cover stating “R.H. Macy & Co. Shopping Guide for the Convenience of Our Customers” shows on screen.

The thin, Art Deco sans serif monoline with a few serif-like hooks added onto some characters became the basis for Shopping Guide JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.
